RF Design Engineers

Senior RF Design Engineer and RF Design Engineer

K&L Microwave has immediate openings in our Engineering departments.

Our Senior level position will make possible the design and development of state-of-the-art filters and filtering solutions for LTE Wireless communication systems, as well as high-end mixed technology filters for the Defense market, utilizing technologies that employ miniaturization and the use of light weight mechanical structures, resulting in high performance attributes; high-power, high rejection and low insertion loss capabilities.

Both engineering roles will have responsibilities to include product definition, feasibility, and computer simulation using commercial and custom tools, design for manufacturability, fabrication and test characterization.

Successful candidates should be fluent in the design of various filter topologies. Designers are further responsible for the continuous improvement of design flow and methodology. Effective communication with product management, production personnel, and external customers is expected.

The Senior level position requires a minimum of BSEE with 5 years experience in RF filter design. Entry level design positions require a BSEE with a concentration in RF filter design.

Further requirements:

  • Strong understanding of transmission lines and electromagnetics,
  • Experience using circuit simulation tools and filter design tools
  • Familiarity with 3D EM simulation software tools (such as CST or HFSS) a plus,
  • Experience developing low PIM solutions,
